Humanium and the Alliance of Lawyers for Human Rights, a lasting partnership: Fighting together for the enforcement of Children’s Rights

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

Humanium and the Alliance of Lawyers for Human Rights have forged a partnership to improve the service and quality of Humanium’s Helpline.

A common goal: the defense of Children’s Rights

Humanium’s mission is to put a stop to children’s rights violations while promoting and defending those rights. While this mission is put into action worldwide with the establishment of projects to help children or promote children’s rights, it also has a place at the core of Humanium’s Helpline. This requires a written consultation with individuals who have witnessed or been subjected to children’s rights violations. It focuses on advising the people who have contacted the Helpline on their rights and possible legal actions in order to defend themselves and their children.

Founded in 2009, the Alliance of Lawyers for Human Rights is a non-governmental organization composed of volunteer lawyers. Today it retains close to 12,000 lawyers and offers other non-governmental organizations unbiased, free and confidential legal help.

Partnership

A partner for the future

In an effort to improve quality, Humanium has formed a partnership with the Alliance of Lawyers for Human Rights in hopes of obtaining legal support and assistance with the written responses that the organization provides to people through its Helpline. The requests are of a diverse nature: they can be about problems like custody of a child or legal confrontations with authorities, among others. The range of questions and problems is vast.

So it is a matter of Humanium having access to the volunteer lawyers provided by the Alliance of Lawyers for Human Rights when the request is complex and requires extensive legal expertise. In this way, the partnership allows Humanium to provide assistance that is as adequate as it is relevant, as straightforward as it is accurate. The organization will always remain the intermediary between the people asking for help and the lawyers.

This partnership conforms perfectly with the spirit of cooperation and solidarity. Non-governmental organizations are true players in civil society. Humanium and the Alliance of Lawyers for Human Rights cooperate together to fight children’s and human rights violations. It is possible to act in a peaceful manner to improve the protection of the rights that every human being has.

If you witness a children’s rights violation or are in need of legal advice with regards to these rights, please do not hesitate to contact Humanium’s Helpline. A response will be sent to you as soon as possible.
