The population in this region especially suffers from poverty, malnutrition, limited access to medical care, drinking water and the lack of healthcare. Traditional agriculture activities pose a risk to health, environment and the soil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project rests on four pillars: elimination of child labour and guarantee that all children receive education; access to health conditions; promotion of children\u2019s rights and ensuring the community\u2019s participation to reinforce these rights; and starting a sustainable development programme to guarantee decent living conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Key Interventions:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> We are targeting 2,185 families from which <\/span><b>760 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are children.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">End child labour and increase the school enrolment rate<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide access to healthcare<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Implementation of preventive healthcare<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children rights training; promotion of children\u2019s rights and improved child protection action by community leaders. As a social development organisation, Hand in Hand India works to <\/span><b>alleviate poverty<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through an integrated community development approach. Their efforts have been focused on bringing an end to child labour since 2004. The Child-Friendly Village project is Humanium\u2019s 10th project with Hand in Hand; together, our 9 first projects have been successfully completed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to their commitment with the children, Humanium is supported by <strong>Erbacher Stiftung<\/strong>, the <strong>cities of Bernex and Puplinge<\/strong>, <strong>Air Liquide Foundation<\/strong> and <strong>Mich\u00e8le Berset Foundation<\/strong> to implement this two-year project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Looking Forward<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skills and knowledge are <\/span><b>driving forces<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of economic growth and social development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each project targets <\/span><b>autonomy and sustainable development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
