El 18 de julio, el mundo celebr\u00f3 el centenario del nacimiento del gran l\u00edder inspirador, Nelson Mandela.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Madiba vivi\u00f3 una vida singular y extraordinaria; una vida dedicada a luchar por los derechos de los negros, e hizo campa\u00f1a contra las leyes que separaban a las personas blancas y negras (apartheid) que lo llevaron a ser encarcelado durante 27 a\u00f1os.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Una campa\u00f1a mundial respald\u00f3 sus creencias y pidi\u00f3 su liberaci\u00f3n, que no ocurri\u00f3 hasta 1990. En 1993, comparti\u00f3 el Premio Nobel de la Paz con el ex presidente sudafricano FW de Klerk por su papel en la eliminaci\u00f3n del apartheid, y m\u00e1s tarde en 1994, Nelson Mandela gan\u00f3 las elecciones para convertirse en el primer l\u00edder democr\u00e1ticamente elegido del pa\u00eds y primer presidente negro de Sud\u00e1frica.<\/span><\/p>\n

El esp\u00edritu y las creencias de Mandela se mantuvieron firmes durante su largo camino hacia la libertad. Su lucha persistente por la esperanza, la justicia y la igualdad no fue tarea de un solo hombre; la creencia de Mandela en la juventud fue y ha sido clave para hacer que el cambio ocurra, sin importar el color de la piel o la historia que hay detr\u00e1s, los j\u00f3venes ser\u00edan los que seguir\u00edan trabajando en nombre de su visi\u00f3n: \u00abcada generaci\u00f3n tiene la oportunidad de rehacer el mundo\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n
