Several experts have confirmed the use of a neurotoxin, most likely Sarin gas, in this unprecedented attack, which signals a new level of terror in the Syrian conflict.

Almost one year to the day after President Obama’s “red line” warning against chemical weapons, Bashar Assad’s regime has committed an irredeemable act.

However, this chemical crime is going unpunished.

Although major world powers have known about the use of toxic gas in the country, their waiting game has finally caught up with them. This tragedy only further discredits the United Nations.

It proves once again that any second spent hesitating gives war one second too many.

The Syrian conflict began in 2011, and has already caused the deaths of over 7,000 children, according to UNICEF.
