Map on the Respect of Children’s Rights

Posted on Posted in Human Rights

Association Humanium has created the “Map on the Respect of Children’s Rights Worldwide“, which offers an overview of the situation of children and their most elementary rights, according to where they are born and where they grow up.

Children are our future, they are the world of tomorrow. Respect of their existence, their rights, and their liberties is of vital importance for the survival of humanity as a whole. Yet, despite this, much progress remains to be made.

Today, thousands of children still live in suffering, poverty, ignorance, and are victims of corruption.

Children are not all born in the same areas. They do not grow up with the same opportunities. Some are faced with misery and violence from a very young age, while others only know a joyful and carefree childhood.

Children do not choose where they are born. However, the country in which they are brought up plays a major role in their development and their welfare. Children’s Rights are not globally respected in the same way.

Humanium offers you this map to demonstrate the situation of children worldwide.

This map is also an introduction. In the coming weeks, you will discover little by little a global project on which, for more than a year, more than 150 volunteers around the world have worked…in the utmost secrecy…
