Testimony – Olivia Garreau

Olivia Garreau earned her Master’s degree in International Law.  She completed a 3-month internship on Children’s Rights at Humanium.

“I arrived in Switzerland three months ago.  I was so excited and motivated to start my internship with Humanium!  I had a wonderful experience in this association which, I feel quite confident, will continue to astonish the world.

The past three months at Humanium have been very enriching because I worked with a highly engaged and excellent team which taught me a lot about the inner workings of such an association.  It was also personally enriching, as I developed myself professionally and increased my self-confidence.  The internship let me put the academic theory I had learned into practice, along with teaching me new skills.  The tasks I worked on were numerous and varied, ranging from editing country reports to managing our devoted volunteers whom I had the great pleasure to work with. I even updated the blog along with other things, besides!

I am so pleased to have had the opportunity to contribute to Humanium’s projects alongside such a lively team.  I shared many wonderful moments with them while making a tangible contribution to defending Children’s Rights.  I am convinced that if every one of us donated some small part of ourselves, wonderful things could happen and each child could have a bright future in a better world.

I would like to thank Fanny, Morgane, and Marie for their help and company: for the wild laughter and secret whispers, and for their kindness and sympathetic ears.  Huge thanks also to Olivier and Arndt Soret for their advice and warmth, and for allowing me this opportunity to make my way with Humanium.  Finally, hugs and kisses to Shaya for being so adorable and for all the love that she brings to the office each day.

I wish the entire team at Humanium all the best for the future!”
