Women entrepreneurs are very active in the village of Azakusamudram in India, where Humanium operates.
The microfinance program in place has already led to the creation of 46 family businesses during the first 6 months of the global project for supporting sustainable development in the village. These initial results are very encouraging because they demonstrate the vitality of support groups in the village.
9 support groups are already operating with 115 women. 112 women received skills development training and 40 have already started literacy classes for adults.
The creation of these first 46 family businesses shows that 40% of women already are in a very active and concrete phase.
If they received the first microcredit, it’s because their projects were strong and viable. We can therefore expect very good results in improving the living conditions of villagers in the next months…
